Table of Contents:
I. Multiplayer Achievements
II. Glaive Achievements
III. Weapon Achievements
IV. Secret Achievements
V. Other Achievements (Single player Achievements and all other ones that don’t fit in sections 1-3)
I - Multiplayer Achievements
- Glory - 30g
- Finish Best Overall in a Ranked Infection Match
- Best way to complete: Once infected, kill an enemy with an assault rifle. Once you have an assault rifle use your stealth powers to locate where other players are in the map, and shield to keep their bullets off you if need be (most of the time you wont…they drop fast and you refill life even faster)
- keep your distance and pick them off long range Keeping your distance is key as you don’t want a target to flank you, giving them and open chance to perform a finish move…killing you instantly.
- If you are not infected, wait for team mates to start a battle with the infected. Sneak around close range and do a finish move on the infected. This is by far the easiest and fastest way to kill an infected player.
Champion – 30g
- Best Overall in a Ranked Epidemic Match
- Best way to complete: Believe it or not, the best way to complete this is by hosting a 1 on 1 game. This game type was met for you to team up with un-infected players to try to take down another team’s infected player. If you make a short match …with 1v1 your chances of winning are greatly increased. As you only have to worry about one infected player, and you know at all times you will be infected.
Try to stay hidden at all times, using stealth when you can. Melee attacks are useless against another infected…don’t waste your time using it as it does little to no damage. The quickest way to destroy another infected is by a stealth finish move. Glaive power throws and elemental empowered glaives help as well.
Remember also keep the time limit short of the round. You want to get in, get the upper hand, and leave with an achievement
Veteran - 30g
- Score 500 Points in Ranked Infection Games
- See achievement “Glory” above for game play tips
- This achievement just takes time
Hero – 40g
- Score 2000 Points in Ranked Infection Games
- See achievement “Glory” above for game play tips
- This achievement just takes time
Comrade – 30g
- Score 500 Points in Ranked Epidemic Games
- Best way to complete: This differs from the best way to complete “Champion”. Remember that you get points for killing your enemy. If you by chance get infected and can kill multiple enemies you have a greater chance of gaining more points per round…with a higher risk of death per round
If you go the 1vrs1 route you are promised the infected power each game as well as have a 50% chance (clearly it wont always be 50% as skill and luck factor in) of defeating your enemy
Hero of the People – 40g
- Score 2000 Points in Ranked Epidemic Games
- Best way to complete: See Comrade
II - Glaive Achievements
- Incinerator – 10g
- Incinerate 30 Enemies
- Hint: Unlike frost and electricity…fire is pretty plentiful in this game. Still I recommend that when you do see fire knock this achievement out of the way early. That way when there is a choice between fire and electricity you can use electricity as it is more rare to find then fire
- Jack Frost – 10g
- Kill 30 Frozen Enemies.
- Hint: The frozen glaive is introduced on chapter 7 of the game. The first encounter/ use of a frozen generator you can get a good amount of kills. When you see the frozen generator, go into the next room and lore your targets into the room with the frozen generator. You can lore around 5-6 in and freeze them to death with your glaive
- Leave the room your first encounter the frozen generator and you will be in a room with 2 frozen cans You can use these to kill multiple enemies in this room. "you don't have to actually throw your glaive into the barrels and destroy them to get the ice effect. if you throw your glaive above them but don't actually hit them you still get the ice effect and it does not break the barrel." - Tip from JunkSkelington. This should jump start your frozen kills and make the rest of the achievement easy to get as the game progresses.
- Electrician - 10g
- Electrocute 30 Enemies
- WARNING: although an easy achievement this is best when done near the start of the game. Do it every time you see electricity. When presented with a level with both electricity and fire…use electricity to kill an enemy. Later on in the game electricity is not seen as much when ice is introduced
Finesse - 40g
- 30 Aftertouch Kills.
- Tip: This is easy to get, and you should start working on it as soon as you get the power Aftertouch
Double Decap Latte – 15g
- Two Decapitations In One Shot.
- Tip: My personal experience…the best time to complete this was near the end of chapter 4 where you are on top this walkway that provides you with a missile launcher…and in front of you is and endless amount of infected goons ready to kill you.
It is clear the game designers want you to pick up the missile launcher and shoot the gas at the end of the hallway, destroying every goon in sight and clearing the way for you to move on…DON’T DO IT
- This is a perfect time for you to get the Double Decap Latte, as well as many other achievements if you have not done so (for Headshots could be done here as well)
Glaive Master – 10g
- Complete a level by only using the glaive.
- Best way to complete: First level you get the glaive...go to town
Hardballc- 35g
- 30 Power-throw kills
- Hint: This is an easy achievement that I found you could get soon after you received the power. Remember you can throw a power throw from the hip…in my personal experience this makes for easy and quick mid range kills. To do so simply hold in the glaive button, and right when you feel the vibration of the controller...let go of the right bumper.
Headhunter – 10g
- Decapitate 30 Enemies
- Hint: see achievement Double Decap Latte For best location from personal experience
- Edit: Many forum members have recommended using a power throw and after touch to perform a head decapitation. Personally I never did it this way but it may serve you with better luck. If you do use an after touch aim for the neck area.
III - Weapon Achievements
- Researcher – 10g
- Collect 10 Weapon Upgrades
- Weapon upgrade locations coming soon
Weaponsmith – 10g
- Applied 5 upgrades in the Black Market.
- Hint: This achievement is easy to get. Soon to come a list of all upgrades. Throughout each level you will see shinny briefcases and money lying around. The money is to buy weapons from the black market and the briefcases are for weapon upgrades.
Simply collect 5 upgrades…. And purchase one other gun from the market of your choice that has 3 or more upgrade slots (your pistol already has 2 slots)
Once you have collected 5 upgrades go to the black market (located in many places through out the game marked by a sewer on the ground) and upgrade your weapon
Sharpshooter – 10g
- 30 Headshots
- Hint: This achievement can be completed early in the game with the use of a basic pistol. It is time to put the glaive aside and get us some head shots! Simply hold in the left trigger…aim for the head and keep firing. This is best to do early on in the game as the enemies are easy to drop and numbers are not as many
IV – Secret Achievements
- Colossus – 50g
- Defeat the Colossus
- Tip: I hate this boss battle. The first battle you set your glaive on fire and stun the beast, he lands on the ground and you run close to him and perform a finish move…rinse a repeat
Stalker – 65g – Secret Achievement
Hint: Easy boss fight that you encounter at the end of chapter 7. You will notice a frozen can on a belt on the far end of the room; use them to power your glaive with ice elemental power.
Judge where the stalker is by his energy he leaves behind…his sounds…or just make random guesses and shot the water like I did. At one point you will freeze him in his tracks. At this point shoot his brains out, rinse and repeat
- Ghost – 35g – Secret Achievement
- Use Shifting to Get a Finisher
- Easy as Pie As soon as you get the shifting power in chapter 8, use it and perform a finish move
- Nemesis - 85g – Secret Achievement
- Defeat the Nemesis
- You encounter her in Chapter 9
- Hint: You cannot hurt your nemesis without an elemental power glaive. Wait till she charges her staff and throws it at you. Dodge out of the way, charge your glaive from her fallen staff (could be in a wall, or on the ground). And throw it at her. Once she is down perform a finish move. With this finish move be ready to tap A, B, X, or Y. You will have to tap one of the buttons to complete the finish move
V - Chapter / Single player / Other Achievements
- The Dark Sector – 100g
- Skeet Shooter – 10g
- Shot 10 Projectiles in Mid-Fight
- Best way to gain achievement:
- There are 3 best times when you can do this
- 1) The first time you encounter the Colossus he will toss object at you…shot them in mid air.
- 2) The second time you encounter the Colossus he will again throw pieces of the wall and so on from the church, shoot them in mid air
- 3) The final bosses arms will throw pieces of the ground at you, shoot them in mid air
Nemesis - 85g – Secret Achievement
- Defeat the Nemesis
- You encounter her in Chapter 9
- Hint: You cannot hurt your nemesis without an elemental power glaive. Wait till she charges her staff and throws it at you. Dodge out of the way, charge your glaive from her fallen staff (could be in a wall, or on the ground). And throw it at her. Once she is down perform a finish move. With this finish move be ready to tap A, B, X, or Y. You will have to tap one of the buttons to complete the finish move
Ghost – 35g – Secret Achievement
- Use Shifting to Get a Finisher
- Easy as Pie As soon as you get the shifting power in chapter 8, use it and perform a finish move
Stalker – 65g – Secret Achievement
- Defeat the Stalker
- Hint: Easy boss fight that you encounter at the end of chapter 7.
Greed - 10g
- Collect over 50,000 rubles
- TIP: Don’t buy weapons early on in the game…each time you see a black market sell all your grenades…try not to use them as they are really not needed most fights and will help you gain rubles fast
Rebound – 35g
- Kill an Enemy With a Reflected Projectile
- Hint: At first my friends thought this meant your glaive…NOPE it means with your shield! When you gain the power to use your shield…stand medium range to an enemy with an assault rifle and turn the shield on…pretty easy to get
Jack the Jackal – Secret Achievement
- Took the Jackal for a Ride
- In Chapter 5 you are presented with a Jackal you can ride…you don’t have to stay in the device. Get in, and get out if you like. You will unlock the achievement just by stepping in it once.
Colossus – 50g – Secret Achievement
- Defeat the Colossus
- Tip: I hate this boss battle. The first battle you set your glaive on fire and stun the beast, he lands on the ground and you run close to him and perform a finish move…rinse a repeat
- After doing this a few times the beast will stay grounded and attack you. This is when it gets tricky…there is no clear indication of when he takes damage. Charge up your glaive with fire and attack him, as well as using the electricity that shoots from the church ceiling every so often. After a while he will go down. Try using power throws and shooting your gun in between glaive throws.
The Finisher – 10g
- Perform 30 Finishers
- Hint: Another easy achievement…but best done at the start of the game. While the finish moves are cool during mid/end game…at the start of the game there are not as many locations that have you in the middle of multiple targets. The early chapters make it easy to go to one taret…position yourself as needed…fuse a finish move and move on.
Dark Sector –Brutal Difficulty – 110g
- Complete the Game on Brutal Difficulty
- Tip: In order to unlock “Brutal Difficulty” you must beat the game under the default difficulty
- Hints: As I make this Achievement Guide I am on the 3rd Chapter of brutal. When I first played DS I was Glaive happy, using it for everything…Brutal is not much harder…but hard enough to force a player to put the glaive aside at times and pull out the weapons
The assault rifles are great for picking off long range targets with minimal exposure time of your player and have become my best friend. I have found little use for the shotgun…while great close range I much rather have a semi long range and pistol then short range and pistol. This of course is my personal preference.
Master Researcher – 15g
The Dark Sector – 100g
Dark Sector - Brutal Difficulty
- Beat the Game on Brutal Difficulty
Chapter Achievements
these are pretty self explanatory and each worth 10g
- Prologue
- Exposure
- Baggage Claim
- Months To The Flame
- The Shipment
- The Bait
- Industrial Evolution
- Unnatural History
Ending notes: Thanks to all who have liked the guide so far…please show the support on the forum and help get this thread a sticky

Demo Review Armor
core 4
Demo Review (5/10)
I decided to also have demo reviews in my blog…unlike my
full reviews…demo reviews will cut right to the chase…
Overall this game was bad. Graphics were ok…backed up with
less then par explosions…and a weak AI to fight against. The default layout was
horrible…controlling the mech felt clunky and annoying…the only thing that came
natural was jetting around. Most of the enemy’s I fought in the demo were tanks…but
there were 2 mechs…mechs that moves around 5 miles per our…and only 1
or 2 different attacks.
I never played any of the armor cores…but was looking
forward to this one because of trailers
with the high passed action that I have seen. Although your mech CAN move
very fast…why bother when you are fighting slow mechs…and slow tanks…
This game has a lot of work to be done by launch…to say the
least.

It seems many people are using live spaces on the 360 so I thought I would join the trend!
As of so far I just used this space for my pictures from Japan, and pictures of my family.
Anyway…its blogging time!
Crackdown:
Well it was fun while it lasted…but I beat the game way too fast…and have no motivation to go back and get the rest of the orbs! Overall the game is great!...just why so short? Once this game has some new DLC I will defiantly go back and play the game again
Overall score (8/10)
Graphics:
- Pros
- Best graphics for its type of “Free roam” style game. that I have ever seen. This game has a look all to its own. It is not really a cell shaded game…but more so a “Graphic Novel”, it gives it a different and refreshing feel to the plain and boring textures used in games like GTA.
- Explosions are AMAZING to say the least. Fire effects look very convincing…when you blow up a car you feel as if you just caused major havoc. Wheels fly off of the car…door will break off, people will run screaming…and you feeling satisfied.
- Draw distance is incredible…if you get on top of the agency tower you can clearly see the 3 other cities…it is very convincing depth of field.
- Buildings are diverse to the location you are at. You can clearly tell what city you are in simply by building structures alone.
Cons
- It seems many buildings were rushed…and most buildings (90%) have no interior
- Explosions in co-op often cause lag
- Many buildings have door ways that lead to solid walls…why have the doorway there in the first place if they will lead to nowhere
- The crowd of people seems to not be diverse. Each city has the same public walking around as the previous city.
Music
- Pros
- The game has a large amount of underground artist…with surprisingly great music! If you enjoy techno style music you will love the hundreds of songs offered on the crack down radio
- Cons
- Co-op radio does not function right. If I were to get in the same car as my buddy, we would here 2 different songs being played
- Can’t listen to these songs outside of a car (or outside of the options menu) However because the 360 lets you play your own sound track to any game you desire…this feature is not really needed.
Story
- Pros
- The twisted ending was fabulous…and some what unexpected.
- Cons
- The rest of the game had no real story…kill a boss…move on…kill a boss…move on. Bosses were not really memorable. Never once did I feel a hate towards the bosses…only thought of them as another target in the way of beating the game.
Game Play
- Pros
- Increasing your stats has a huge impact on your player, and forces you to try to upgrade yourself in order to jump higher…punch stronger…and drive better
- There are multiple ways to kill your foes…shoot them, blow them up, run them over, you can even kill them with a rubber ducky…
- Driving the super car is a blast. Once upgraded to level 4 the super car feels like the bat mobile, with double machine guns that tear anything apart in your way
- Performing tricks with the SUV is also a blast, you truly get the feeling of the reckless power that is behind the SUV as you launch off a ramp and perform multiple barrel rolls before crashing into the unaware public.
- Cons
- Each mission feels the same as the last…kill a boss…find another boss…kiss a boss…find another boss.
- Main story game play can be beaten in around 12 hours
- No new game option
Overall I enjoyed this game…I just wished there was more to the game itself. Hopefully there will be some great DLC in the near future for this game!
